The first peony

ACRYLIC  -  6  X  9  INCHES APPROX
THE FIRST PEONY

This time, a painting done in acrylic.  A peony that comes from the last photo I took.  I used a new blue-green Dyna from Pebeo for light touches.
The garden is full of peonies and there are many varieties with different shapes and colors showing up every week. Pretty exciting!

I love the lavender color in this flower, Helen...These flowers are so beautiful...I only wish it could stay in bloom just a little bit longer!

I agree with you Hilda, like many other flowers, they really don't blossom long enough. Hugs

Helen H Trachy a dit…

Bon dimanche Cath!

Dear Helen, lucky to have peonies in your garden ... they are hard to find for sale, are too delicate and florists(here) do not trade willingly.
Your lovely peony looks painted very cheerful, as glad to be born in your garden ... ready for portrait!
Have nice week in this beautiful time to gardening and painting!

Thanks Rita! You're a gardener after my own heart, have a lovely week as well. Ciao
