Dancing fuschias

AQUARELLA  -  10 1/2    X  14  INCHES
ON STRATHMORE PAPER
DANCING FUSCHIAS

Nurserys are full of plants and flowers and this week I brought home a lot of them.  Now, all I have to do is to plant them.  It so happens I love digging and playing with soil.  These are fuschias, flowers I specially like because they attract hummingbirds. They're doing a little dance, summer's here.

Hi Jane! Thanks, a lovely weekend to you too. I noticed you changed your blog picture. Cute. Hugs

Helen H Trachy a dit…

Hi Lorraine! That's exactly what it is. :) A tutu. I love tutus. Wish I was a ballet dancer sometimes, just to wear those rustling and wispy things. xx

Hi Sherry! I'm very happy this one pleases you particularly. Yesterday, I spent some time examining a fuschia. Such delicacy, a little work of art all by itself. Have a great weekend Sherry, Hugs

What a beautiful painting of these intricate flowers. How lovely that you get humming birds

Helen H Trachy a dit…

Hi Polly! When I first bought that flower a few years ago, I noticed these little birds for the first time of my life. Since then, I keep some every summer. Have a great weekend! Hugs

Ooh, the painting is gorgeous! I really love those flowers as a subject, too, now that I've seen how you painted them, with such vibrancy. I like the way you composed this piece, with the fuchsia not planted, but flowing freely with expression of their own. It's wonderful!

I appreciate your comment Kayherine, thanks! Have a beautiful day! :)
