Apple orchard - Day 25

AQUARELLA  -  5 X 7 INCHES
SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY CARD
ON FABRIANO PAPER
APPLE SEASON

It's apple season just  across the river, in Mont St-Hilaire.  There are still many weeks left to pick  up apples, then the late ones will  freeze.  We will then have  those famous apple ciders so popular in the area.

Hummm !

gros bisous

Such a delightful and whimsical orchard! I've been noticing the apples on the trees out here turning red too!

Bisous

Hi Celia! There's someting special about this time of year , isn't it?

Helen H Trachy a dit…

Hi Sherry! Well, I hope you love eating them and find time to bake an apple pie or two. :)

Apples are just the best, can't wait to bite into a 'Fuji' ...my favorite. Love this painting celebrating the season ! xx

Dear Helen - beautiful anniversary card. I am sure this is for someone special. I have been sipping on some cider too. Not as good as it will be later on when the last apples ripen...they are so much sweeter. Take care and have a lovely fall day.

The iced cider sounds wonderful and the light handed treatment here in watercolor is perfect for the crisp cooler, apple season. We have it here too.

Hi Maggie, thanks for your comment.

Hi Jane! My favorites are the Cortland and the Lobo, big firm juicy apples but there are so many varieties, all very appetizing. :)

Hi Debbie! I think you have a fine palate. :)

Hi Mary! I guess it's apple time all over America. Thanks for your visit!

:) Bisous

I have an association with van Gogh, not sure why, but this is strong and very positive association. Superb, Helen.

Thanks Maga, he's one of my favorite painters. :)

Merci maman! xx
