Day 30 - A day for roses

A DAY FOR ROSES

-  A special day with smell of roses  in the air!   This, to finish the 30 paintings in 30 days of Leslie Saeta's Challenge. Afterwards, I'm having a nice long break, but will make sure of visiting you to admire your work  and comment.

-    Une journée tout à fait spéciale avec des odeurs de roses, pour mettre fin au Défi de 30 peintures en 30 jours de Leslie Saeta. Je prends un bon congé, ce qui ne m'empêchera pas de vous visiter et voir tout ce que vous faites et ce que vous avez à dire.  !

-Again it is rather  late as I'm sending this post.  Tomorrow will be the last day of Leslie Saeta's September Challenge.  Then a real break will be most welcome.  Yeeeee!

  -  A few lemons and some flowers in a summer vase.  That says it all, except for the bitter taste and the small size canvas!

-  Quelques citrons et des fleurs dans un vase d'été.  Çà résume bien la scène, à part l'amertume et le petit format de la toile!

    -  A real small bunch of flower paintes on the corner of the table!  In a rush, need I add.    I've got to leave for a few days. Bye for now.

-  Quelques fleurs peintes à toute vitesse sur un coin de table!    Je dois m'absenter pour quelques jours.  A bientôt!    

Day 23 - I love apples

I LOVE APPLES 

-  I'm sure you didn't know cats love apples.  Ho yes, the smell  specially apple pies is enough to get a cat go bezerk.  But the best is the odor that you find in an orchard with all those apples lying around.  A paradise for cats.  You don't believe me!!!  Well, I know it's true and that's that!

-Vous ne saviez pas que les chats aiment beaucoup les pommes.  Spécialement l'odeur de la tarte aux pommes quand elle cuit.  C'est assez pour le rendre fou!  Mais, la senteur la plus agréable est celle que l'on retrouve dans le verger, où les pommes tombées s'entassent un peu partout..  Un paradis pour les chats!  Vous semblez sceptiques?  En tous cas, c'est la vérité, point c'est tout! 

Day 22 - A taste of automn

-  Nature is not quite like this yet!  Colors are just beginning to show and I think we're in for some nice weather.  Maybe it will be our Indian Summer!  This painting is just to give you an idea of what awaits us soon.

-  La nature ne ressemble pas à ceci dans le moment.  Les couleurs commencent à peine à se montrer et je crois que nous aurons quelques belles journées encore.  Ce cera notre Été des Indiens, peut-être !  Cette peinture, c'est juste pour vous montrer ce qui nous attend bientôt.

 

Day 21 - Morning blue

-  We got lots of rain .  I don't mind if the sky is grey as long as there's something bright nearby.  I feel life is much more bearable when there's a touch of blue I can relate with.  Did I tell you I was a philosopher also?  Hi ! Hi !

-  Nous avons eu beaucoup de pluie.  Quand le temps est gris, je recherche toute la lumière que je  peux trouver. La vie est beaucoup plus agréable quand il y a un coin  bleu auquel je peux m'accrocher . Je suis philosophe à mes heures, je ne vous l'avais pas dit?  Ha ! Ha!

Day 20 - A golden day in september

 -  Here's my friend Shorty again!  He wants me to think the water is good, but I know better.  Even if it's sunny today, the temperatures are cooling.  Maybe he'll bring back something to eat...

-  Voici mon ami Shorty encore une fois!  Il veut me faire croire que l'eau est bonne, mais  je sais qu'elle est glacée, les températures ont chutées.  Il reviendra peut-être avec le souper...

Day 19 - Hydrangeas

                 -  Already time to cut the few hydrangeas left in the garden  and prepare bouquets.  Soon, there won't be anything left to run around .

-   Déjà le temps de couper les quelques hydrangées qui restent au jardin et de préparer des bouquets.  Bientôt, il n'y aura plus rien pour jouer autour. 

Day 18 - Scottish girl with a red hat

-   I 've always loved red hats and wear one on special occasions.  This is an important day for a Scottish girl.   I don't read paper, but I'm not deaf.  :)

-  J'ai toujours aimé les chapeaux rouges .  C'est un jour spécial pour cette jeune fille écossaise .  Je ne lis pas les journeaux mais, je ne suis pas sourd.

-  I love these flowers.  Some are real giants and lots of birds come to visit. I can hide nearby and surprise them.  Miaou! 

-  J'aime ces fleurs.  Parfois, elles atteignent une stature géante  et les oiseaux adorent venir se régaler de ses graines.  Je me cache pas loin et peux les surprendre. Miaou!

-  Soon our trees will look like this one,  full of colors and happy to change their looks for a short while.  Already nights are cooler.  Much, much too early!

-  Bientôt les arbres de la région prendront ces couleurs et seront heureux de se transformer pour un court moment.  Déjà les nuits sont plus fraîches. C'est tôt, beaucoup trop tôt!

Day 15 - Red papayas

-  Some rudbeckies with bright red colors!  No doubt,  those red papayas variety do wake up the whole place at this time of the year.

-   Here are a few flowers still at their peak at this time of year. Did you know cats love flowers? Ho yes,  I'm all for the flower power.  :)

-    A sketch inspired  from a wonderful painting of Giovanni Boldini, " Woman with a black hat "!  Well, I'm just the cat here, the poor photographer, but wasn't the theme of the month something like " Birds and flowers ".  Ho I see,  there are  bird's feathers right on top.  Mmm...Now if you want to see real flowers, take a peek at Maggie Ruley's blog.  You're in for a lot of colorful surprises!

-   Un sketch préparé à partir d'une magnifique peinture de Giovanni Boldini, " La femme au chapeau noir "!  Je ne suis qu'un pauvre chat, photographe de surcroît, mais le thème du mois n'était pas " Oiseaux et fleurs."  Ho d'accord, je vois!  Il y a des  plumes d'oiseaux sur le chapeau.  Mmm...
